Our company is mainly engaged in the manufacture of wire rods, fasteners, and raw material. Although it is not a highly polluting industry, its process is based on wire drawing, pickling, spheroidizing heat treatment, etc. For pollution prevention, our company has equipment such as dust removal, wastewater, waste gas, and ventilation. According to the laws from Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), company will arrange personnel who is in charge of pollution prevention at workplace and hire environmental protection agency for random sampling. With above the proper control of prevention, it meets the latest emission standards listed by EPA.

Our company is required by law to apply for permits: stationary air pollution source control, water pollution control measures, and regular air pollution fees. Also, people in company will be assigned of managing air, water, and industrial waste.

The scope covered by this information is the boundaries of the company's No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 factories in Gangshan, Taiwan

Future countermeasures:

1. The factory adopts natural lighting mode, high-efficiency lighting or LED to reduce the consumption of electric energy during the day.
2. The old motors replace the new high-efficiency ones to save energy.
3. Adjust the production procedure to reduce waste emissions.
4. To have a sustainable energy is by controlling the using of air-fuel ratio, heat source recycling and clean fuel.
5. Improve the sludge operation process and reduce the sludge moisture content to the waste reduction policy.
6. Continue to pay attention to environmental protection, switch to low-pollution or non-polluting equipment and try to make green purchases.
7. The average annual electricity saving rate is 1.06% in 2021 , 0.77% in 2022,1.09% in 2023. and 0.06% in 2024.In the future, we will comply with the provisions of the Energy Management Act. From 2015 to 2024, the average annual electricity saving rate of 2.03% will be far higher than 1%, and we will continue to achieve our energy conservation and carbon reduction goals.
8. On February 14, 2023, personnel from the Air Noise Section of the Environmental Protection Agency inspected the prevention and control equipment and found that the A003 flow meter of the second factory was not installed. The pressure difference count value of the third factory is 170 (70~100), which is beyond the allowable range. After inspection by the operator, it was found that the inlet of the differential pressure gauge was blocked by a plastic sheet, resulting in inaccurate pressure differential counting. After clearing the blockage, the value returned to about 80mmH2O. The Environmental Protection Agency still imposed a fine of NT$225,000  in accordance with the law.

Energy usage
The main energy sources are electricity and liquefied petroleum gas. In terms of energy consumption, in 2020, the electric energy consumption is 20,095,457 degrees, which is converted to 72,343 Billion joules, and the liquefied petroleum gas consumption is 559.256 metric tons, which is converted to 23,416 Billion joules.
In 2021, the electricity consumption is 23,533,729 degrees, which is converted to 84,721 Billion joules, and the liquefied petroleum gas consumption is 453.606 metric tons, which is converted to 18,992 Billion joules.

In 2022, the electricity consumption is 23,423,200 degrees, which is converted to 84,324 Billion joules, and the liquefied petroleum gas consumption is 369 metric tons, which is converted to 15,450 Billion joules.

In 2023, the electricity consumption is 18,188,800 degrees, which is converted to 65,480 Billion joules, and the liquefied petroleum gas consumption is 287 metric tons, which is converted to 12,016 Billion joules.

In 2024, the electricity consumption is 15,929,000 degrees, which is converted to 57,344 Billion joules, and the liquefied petroleum gas consumption is 300 metric tons, which is converted to 15,115 Billion joules,and Natural Gas 83,901 cubic meters to 2,808 Billion joules.    

Wastewater and waste treatment:

Tycoons company used the running water as the industrial water source. Due to the ground water, be restricted in this district, the running water is the only once choice. To reach the goal of energy save and environment friendly, it used the new recycle equipment and system to support the production lines use to create extra margin for the operation. The water consumption instruction keeps renew and develop to control the usage amount to reduce every year. 

According to the water consumption statistic of each area, the overall running water consumption percentage as below: manufacturing process use 80%, administrative use 10%, and accommodation use 10%. The recycling waster equipment installed in the wire pickling process area to reuse the running water for manufacturing process use.

The low pollution domestic wastewater is discharged into the discharge outfall of runoff wastewater.

The wastewater of production process will be collected to the wastewater treatment center of Tycoons company. After the completed wastewater treatment which able to reach the wastewater discharge standard of government, the wastewater will discharge from sewerage outfall. The wastewater treatment capacity can reach 190 ton per day.

The sample will pick for regular test which COD 15.96 mg/L, suspended solids 1.5mg/L are better than the standard in 2024.The amount of water discharged is as follows:

The major production of Tycoons company is spheroidizing annealing wire material and screws heat treatment. Based on the industry characteristic, the waste included general garbage, spent acid, inorganic sludge, and waste oil. Those are entrusted legal manufacturer to responsible for clearance and handling. The solidification and resources recycling are the most methods to process it. Tycoons company did not import or export foreign waste treatment.
